General Procurement Notice For: Accelerating Sustainable and Clean Energy Access Transformation in Mozambique
Early Market Engagement for supply of wooden poles; supply of cables and conductors and electrical works contractors
1. As part of the universal access to electricity by 2030 program, the Government of Mozambique secured funds from the World Bank and strategic partners on May 19, 2025 for the implementation of Phase III of the program called ASCENT (Acceleration of Sustainable and Clean Energy Access Transformation), and starting in terms and physical implementation scheduled for the year 2026.
2. The funds secured come as a continuation of the program started in 2018, and it is planned to connect around 146000 consumers within the scope of this financing. For this first part of the 3rd Phase, a total of 117.00 MUSD will be made available by the World Bank and partners, and will be managed by EDM EP
3. EDM EP is honored to invite all interested companies to participate in meetings that will take place in a hybrid format (online and in person) at EDM's Social Center in the, located at Avenida Filipe Samuel Magaia No. 368, Maputo – Mozambique, according to the following schedule:
